CMTA is a trade association, defining industry standards to facilitate the adoption of technology in the capital markets.

CMTA has created certification schemes to accompany its key standards. The Certification marks allow companies to easily demonstrate compliance with the recommendations outlined in standards developed by CMTA's membership of leading actors from Switzerland's financial, technological, audit and legal sectors.

The certification marks are registered with the Federal Institute of Intellectual Property.
