Nestor Verrier named to Executive Committee of CMTA
The Capital Markets and Technology Association (CMTA) has appointed Nestor Verrier to its Executive Committee, succeeding Morgan Lavanchy, Swissquote's Chief Legal Officer. After more than seven years of service on the committee, Mr. Lavanchy has decided to hand over the role to Mr. Verrier.
Mr. Verrier has served as Swissquote's Chief Operating Officer since January 2024. Prior to this, he was Swissquote's General Manager in Luxembourg from 2019. He represents Swissquote – one of CMTA's founding members – on the association's Executive Committee.
“I’m excited to join CMTA’s Executive Committee,” said Nestor Verrier. “I’m deeply enthusiastic about the potential of digital assets and the vital role they will play in shaping tomorrow’s financial infrastructure. I look forward to contributing to the development of robust, practical standards that support the secure and scalable evolution of financial market infrastructure.”
Mr. Verrier joins fellow committee members Takis Spiliopoulos, CFO of Temenos; Touradj Ebrahimi, Titular Professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), and Chair Jacques Iffland, a partner at the law firm Lenz & Staehelin.
The Executive Committee warmly thanks Mr. Lavanchy for his instrumental role in the association’s founding and his significant contributions to the development of CMTA's standard-setting activities.
