CMTA's Digital Assets - AML Standards provide guidance for businesses and financial intermediaries that enter into business relationships with issuers of ledger-based securities, investors in digital assets or other types of clients whose business involves a material exposure to digital assets and/or DLT.
The Standards aim to provide practical insights into compliance with the latest AML regulatory requirements for digital assets.
The Standards are comprised of two separate documents, addressing respectively:

The Standards were developed by a working group of CMTA's AML Committee that included representatives from Homsy Legal, Lenz & Staehelin, PLL Legal & CBP, Polimec, Swissquote and Sygnum Bank. The Standards were reviewed by CMTA's members through a consultation process.
